Flash Drive January 4, 2007

Engadget has a piece on Sandisk 32 GB flash memory. It’s faster than a hard drive and stores 32 gig. I’m thinking this would be great for keeping patient records. Doctors would have one for each patient instead of a paper file. It could store all the comments the doctors and nurses make, all the lab results and it could also store x-rays and MRI’s for immediate viewing. Patients could carry them arround with them in the same vein people wear medial alert braclets. The exception would be any doctor would have immediate access to the patients entire medical history.

I think there is a start-up business here.
